Chris and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our second child in September. We don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, but I'll share the news when we find out (in 2 weeks). We did not find out what we were having with Elliot, but we are a little bit more anxious this time. Of course Elliot wants a boy to share all his Star Wars and Transformer toys with. Chris also wants a boy just because he thinks he won't be able to handle the thought of trying to protect a girl from all the bad boys out there (like he was never one!). I could go either way. At one point I thought I really wanted a girl, but now I can honestly say I would be thrilled with either. Weddings in March and April were particularly hard, but I had lots of help and I am feeling better now. My last wedding will be in June and I plan to start up again sometime in November. Thanks to all my friends, family and clients who were so supportive during my first trimester.
Megan and Kyle's Engagements
Megan and Kyle are getting married in couple months at Old Glory Ranch (one of my favorite wedding venues). They both live in Houston and I had never met the couple before. So I was thrilled when they opted to have an engagement session here in Austin.
I often times get booked by out of town brides (this year I literally have brides from California to New York) of whom I never get to meet before the wedding day. This is never a problem, but engagement and bridal sessions give us a chance to have a nice visit and get to know each other a little before the big day.
We had so much fun taking photos at the Capitol and then went on to the ever-so-popular Soco area for some fun candids. Here are just a few of my favs...

Featured in The Knot Real Weddings again!
I was really excited when the photo editor from The Knot contacted me after she saw the images of Kylie and Royce's wedding on my blog. She asked to see more, so I sent her to their Pictage site (which had all of Kylie and Royce's images). A week later, it was confirmed they wanted to feature the wedding in the Spring/Summer 2008 issue. This is always so exciting to me not just because my photography is featured, but I am even more happy for the couple that gets to say all their hard planning paid off and their wedding was published in a national magazine.
Some more great news from the Knot, one of my photographs of Jennifer and Trent was selected to be in The Knot's 2008 "Best of Weddings" issue. I'll be sure to post it as soon as it comes out.

Lisa and Kyle get married...again!
Lisa and Kyle are both in the army and were actually already married when they got married. They just never had a formal ceremony the first time. So, 2 years after a civil service, they decided to have a very beautiful wedding at La Villa Antonia (one of my favorite venues).
Since they decided to see each other before the ceremony we had lots of time to do some portraits beforehand. I have shot at the Villa many times, but had never gone into the tower. Lisa made the suggestion to go inside and I am so glad she did. I love the shots from this location. Here are just a couple from there.
Lisa wrapped and put these boxes together herself! The details she made were so beautiful and creative.
Check out the lovely cake by the one and only Simon Lee, the best cakes ever! Trust me, I know my cakes (I taste a lot of 'em). His cakes not only look like pieces of art, they actually taste better than they look.
