I recently met with a bride who was inquiring about our photo booth services so I decided to post a sample from Aimee and Steve's wedding. Photo booths are lots of fun and it's amazing how much all the guests, young and old, really enjoy it. We bring a white backdrop, lights and tons of fun props. We suggest having your booth open later on in your reception and keep it open for about an hour.

Here's the set up.

This year we continue to offer our online slide shows to our clients. When we began to include this product in our packages (about 2 years ago), we thought of it as an afterthought or extra bonus. Many happy clients later, this is our most raved about product and couples absolutely love them. Although we post all the final images to Pictage, sometimes friends and family just want to see a nice highlight of the wedding, rather than pour through hundreds of images on the web. These shows are a fabulous way to share the story of your day.

Featured in The Knot-

I always get so excited when my photography gets published. The most thrilling part for me is when I get to call my client and tell them firsthand that their wedding photos are going to be in a magazine. I love to hear how happy they are. I know how much energy goes into planning a wedding (been there myself) and what an amazing payoff to all that work than to have it out there for all to see.

I photographed Raygan and Mike's lovely wedding at the Barr Mansion last year and their images made their way to the pages of The Knot Fall/Winter 2008 Real Weddings Texas issue. They were also given a gallery with a slide show. They had some really original details. I especially love the bride and groom pinatas in the giant oak tree and the white doves made out of coconuts. Is this not the coolest dressed groom ever?

This is from the wedding of Kim and Nick (one of my April weddings). The rundown...gold, pink and blue paisley tie, a light blue gingham shirt and a light gray and blue pin-striped suit. It was the most stylish and original I've ever seen on any groom. Definite thumbs up! Kim looked stunning as well in an ivory raw silk gown with lace top.

New website!

I am finally done with my new site. It is amazing how much time these things take. Luckily, I had my assistant extraordinaire Caroline to help pour through hard drives and re size images. It had been a couple years since I had redone my site and it really needed it. I wanted a design that was very clean and simple, so the viewer could really focus on the large images. It took a while to get all the colors just right (I could play with colors all day long) and I love them. I am still working on my "About" which is always the hardest part. Baby #2 on the way!

Chris and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our second child in September. We don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, but I'll share the news when we find out (in 2 weeks). We did not find out what we were having with Elliot, but we are a little bit more anxious this time. Of course Elliot wants a boy to share all his Star Wars and Transformer toys with. Chris also wants a boy just because he thinks he won't be able to handle the thought of trying to protect a girl from all the bad boys out there (like he was never one!). I could go either way. At one point I thought I really wanted a girl, but now I can honestly say I would be thrilled with either. Weddings in March and April were particularly hard, but I had lots of help and I am feeling better now. My last wedding will be in June and I plan to start up again sometime in November. Thanks to all my friends, family and clients who were so supportive during my first trimester.

Megan and Kyle's Engagements

Megan and Kyle are getting married in couple months at Old Glory Ranch (one of my favorite wedding venues). They both live in Houston and I had never met the couple before. So I was thrilled when they opted to have an engagement session here in Austin.
I often times get booked by out of town brides (this year I literally have brides from California to New York) of whom I never get to meet before the wedding day. This is never a problem, but engagement and bridal sessions give us a chance to have a nice visit and get to know each other a little before the big day.
We had so much fun taking photos at the Capitol and then went on to the ever-so-popular Soco area for some fun candids. Here are just a few of my favs...
